Méldy - Druid Application
Posted: 07 Apr 2014 11:50
Character Name: Méldy
Level and Class: 90, Druid
Preferred Talent Specification: Doesn't matter, I enjoy playing all speccs and will fill the role the guild is in need of.
Armory Link: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/g ... ldy/simple
Purpose of joining (social or raiding):
- I'm looking for a stable home where I can enjoy raiding, pvp, achievhunting etc. I'm coming of from a long break and just started playing for real again and now I'm looking to get back into it with a bunch of fun people. I only raided Mogu'Shan and had to go on a break until now because of studies.
What is your /played time on your main character and any significant alts or previous main characters (please give the names and server of any significant alts or previous mains as well)?
- Currently have 47days 3hours 7 minutes on my druid, have around 10 days played on all classes.
Why did you choose to play the spec and the class you currently playing? Would you consider to play another class or spec if we feel this is better for the guild of the time being?
- Back in Naxx I mained hunter and the guild I was with during WotLK was in dire need of healers so I powerleveled a druid and got hooked on the versatility and impact you have (Huge Druid lore fan aswell). After WotLK I was sure I would stop playing so I sold my account and after BWD I bought a new one and have been playing on this druid since I diverted to guardian for quick ques and enjoyed the fact that you didn't stack stamina anymore and instead started to deal alot of dmg so I've allways kept guardian as my backup specc. During Cata I played mostly feral since I was devestated when they removed treeform but I've been going back and forh between DPS and resto since then. Right now I have no real preference. I have alt of all classes around the 85 mark and I have previous experience on all of them so I don't mind going with what the guild needs.
Please tell us a little bit about yourself:
I'm a 20 year old guy currently located in Sydney, Australia but when I'm in Sweden I live 1hour drive south of Stockholm in a small town outside of Strängnäs. My time is mostly spent in my room (can't stand the heat) playing WoW or LoL. I rarley party but it happens from time to time. Right now I'm in the last 3 months of my diploma so during the days I'm either shooting for my films or editing but I still manage to get in around 5-8 hours of gaming
Please tell us about your raiding experience , if you don't have any raid experience please tell us about any other gaming experiences, be it WoW or other games:

Please tell us what you look for in a guild and what made you decide to apply to The Family Legion:
I'm looking for a stable group of people that actually talk/spend time with eachother outside of WoW. I stayed with a all swedish guild all through WotLK just because I enjoyed playing with the people even if they were horrible raiders. Why I was drawn to The Family Legion is based on what I've read on the forum, seen in-game and from that it seems like you're similar to what I had during WotLK with the exception of beeing able to progress at a steady rate
If you were in any other guild/guilds before applying to us, why did you leave?
I played with JOELBITAR (Stopped playing after WotLK) on kilrogg during WotLK and did alt raids with Memento Mori (I never had the time to join permanentley) on Frostmane at the same time.
During Cata I was playing with Veni Vidi Fibre Castro, a swedish guild consisting of my RL friends and we disbanded when DS was released because 50% of us started playing HoN fulltime and the most of the other players went to Outland and raided with Svea Livgarde. Haven't had a real guild since them.
What is your view on progress raiding, raiding for achievements and raiding old content?
Progress raiding is really exciting during the first clear, the feeling of finally downing a boss you've been working on for a week or two is really awsome. Clearing raids is awsome in a different way if you're doing it with fun people that can keep it relaxed, it's more of a social thing for me then the actuall kills. I love doing achievements and old content for the fun of it because it's a combination of progress raiding and clear raiding since you do it for fun but you still focus alot to not fail the achive :9
We are not a hardcore guild. Which means we do not have as strict attendance requirements and sets IRL stuff first. However this leads to a bigger raid group. Ideally we want a raid group of about 35 people, which means sometimes people have to sit out. To make this fair we have a rotation system based on attendance. A more detailed explanation of the system can be found here. Is a signup system like this acceptable by you?
Your system and view on raiding was a major part of why I was interested in applying, I'm currently working alot in school and outside with independent short films so some weeks my attendance will be a little more shaky and usually can be a nono for guilds but with your system it's fair for everyone. (I can guarantee atleast 2 raids each week)
If you have the possibility to provide a screenshot of your current raid UI and any WoL logs showing your performance, please do so:
http://sv.tinypic.com/r/r1h361/8 (Grid popsup under the unitframes while in raids)
Have no usefull WoL to show as of this moment
Please give any further information which you may be of interest to us and may support your application:
I just started gearing up so if my gear is missing enchants/gems it's because I'm replacing it shortly or it's just been replaced (Don't feel like it's worth putting money into it while im still just doing LFR and don't have a decided MS. got all of the scrolls+gems in bags for future upgrades though).
And as I mentioned earlier I have alot of alts avalible aswell so if you're in need of a different class I can supply that aswell just need some extra time as a social while gearing (Need about 1-2 lockouts to be ready for normals).
If you have any questions feel free to contact me in game or here "Jojjnes#2540"
Cheers
